Souter Lighthouse

St. Mary’s Lighthouse
3 buildings open to the public, lighthouse, bird-watching hide and a visitor centre. Built in 1898 the lighthouse ceased operations in 1984. Access via a causeway is determined by the tides, visitors may climb the 137 steps to the top of the lighthouse for spectacular views. Situated North of Whitley Bay, Tel: 2008650.
Stephenson Railway Museum
