Bamburgh Castle
The home of Lady Armstrong, completely restored in 1900. Tours encompass the Kings Hall, the Cross Hall, reception rooms, the Bakehouse, Victorian scullery, armoury and dungeon. Wide range of fine china, porcelain, glassware, paintings, furniture, tapestries, arms and armour. Beamish Museum
Recreates life in the NE during the 1800 and 1900s, with shops, houses, working pub, newspaper office, garage, sweet-shop and sweet factory, farms, drift mine and railway station and stock, rides available on the tram line. Bedes World
The museum of early Northumbria, the original stone church was built in681 AD when the monastery was founded by Bishop Biscop, there are ruins where Bedelived and worked, which was destroyed by the Vikings in 870 AD.
